 Nokia announced Wibree end of 2006 as a new wireless technology to enable short-range communication between electronic devices @ a lower power consumption than Bluetooth wireless technology. The “wow’s” of the tech community were quickly overcast by the critical voices that were wondering if the world was really really waiting for yet another wireless standard.
  Today ratio prevailed, and the Bluetooth SIG and the Nokia jointly announced that Wibree will become part of the ultra low-power version of Bluetooth technology, ideally suited for small devices like watches, toys, sports equipment, and medical devices.
 Yep, you’re right… a hectic day in the office!  😉
