Well, yeah… CHatGPT. We all played with it, we all tried it. We all were thoroughly impressed, and we all denied it would fundamentally change the world. Well, I have news for you… we might have to rethink that, and fast.
At SXSW in Austin, the crypto bro’s are quiet for the moment. Apart from an impressive P1, and a lonely Ferrari LaFerrari, the new moneymakers are keeping a rather low profile at the beginning of this festival of innovation.
As a warm up to the explosion of keynotes and sessions that is going to wreck my weekend, I let myself seduce to some presentations and demo’s of smaller companies and initiatives, and… I am blown away. AI, classic or generative is changing the game in a way that is difficult to phantom. I am not sure that I can think that fast… What is sure is that it is going to shake our way of doing business in the months to come. Months, not years.
Whether you are in charge of HR, Tech, Data, Marketing, Energy, Security, Retail, Manufacturing, Accounting, Legal or Auditing, AI is coming for you. Fast. Rather than a threat, the demo’s I am seeing are promising tools that will give us lightning speed, and tremendous clever data use. From my walk today I give you four little gems.

When the going get’s tough, the tough get going! One of the new job titles I detected here at SXSW, is the “CPO”, the Chief People Officer. It identifies indeed more correctly what an DHR is about. A human Resource s about people, mostly, well… it should be 😊
